Talk Description
In this session we will consider the importance of rules and routines in the YL classroom. How can we set them up? How do they affect general classroom management, the flow of the class and the learning process? When is it appropriate to use L1? These are just some of the questions we will address in this session. If you are a new teacher, new to teaching this level or just want to refresh some of your ideas feel free to come along!

Karen has been involved in ELT for 25+ years and stopped counting! Despite the longevity, she is still passionate about teaching and loves sharing the most simple activity to more theoretical ideas with her teaching colleagues. She has classroom experience at most levels; having taught wee tiny tots to teens and to senior citizens. When she is not in the classroom she devotes some of her free time to TESOL-SPAIN where she has been a board member since 2012.
